Christopher Wheeldon is a British ballet choreographer whose masterful production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland has brought him great acclaim. His new show with the National Ballet of Canada, The Winter’s Tale, is a Shakespearean adaptation that’s said to carry the same amount of genius physical storytelling and awe-inspiring dance numbers as his last show. Coming to Washington, DC this January, the interpretive and acrobatic spectacle is highly anticipated, especially when publications like the Times in London say, “Wheeldon has produced the most heartfelt and resonant full-length ballet seen in decades.”
