St. Patrick’s Parades
Washington, DC Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
March 15, 2015
Noon to 3:00 p.m.
Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day with a parade along Constitution Avenue – 7th to 17th Streets NW. This two-and-a-half hour special event, known as the Nation’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, will include floats, marching bands, pipe bands, military, police, and fire departments. Local Irish pubs will sponsor parade parties featuring Irish musicians, dancers and singers. St. Patrick’s Day is a family day, bringing people together to share the culture of the Irish.
Alexandria Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
March 7, 2015
This family fun celebration includes a classic car show, a dog show and a Saint Patrick’s Day Parade. Federal, state, and local elected officials; the Irish Ambassador; military commanders; and other local celebrities will participate along with local scouts, marines and high school bands.
Annapolis Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
March 8, 2015
Annapolis celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with a parade in Historic Annapolis featuring more than 90 floats with participation by many local organizations. The city celebrates Irish Week with ten days of events including music, an Irish Coffee competition and more.
Gaithersburg Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
March 14, 2015
The City of Gaithersburg, in partnership with the Harp and Shamrock Society, will host a Saint Patrick’s Day Parade at Washingtonian Center. The Parade includes state and local officials, Gaithersburg Police, Irish dancers, pipe bands, fire trucks, equestrian units, and much more.
Manassas Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
March 14, 2015
The City of Manassas will host a Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in Old Town with Irish dance groups, the Northern Virginia Firefighters Emerald Society Pipe and Drum, Washington Scottish Pipe and Drum, Fairfax County Sheriff’s Coalition Pipe and Drum, the Marine Corps Color Guard and other area groups and organizations
National Shamrock Fest
March 21, 2015
RFK Stadium . The largest Saint Patrick’s Day party in the region features more than forty live bands, food, drink and fun activities for all ages.
March 7, 2015, 1 – 9 p.m., an annual St. Patrick’s Day bar crawl begins at Mackey’s Public House at 1823 L St. NW, Washington, DC. The Leprechaun Lap includes food and drink specials at Mackey’s Irish Pub, Buffalo Billards, Black Rooster, Rumors, The Front Page, James Hoban’s, Madhatter, The Mighty Pint, The Bottom Line, Irish Whiskey, Fiesta Lounge, Café Citron, BlackFinn, Bread and Brew, Sign of the Whale and more. Registration is between 1 and 6 p.m. at Mackey’s.

Enjoy a special Irish happy hour available all day, every day, and authentic live bands throughout the month of March at Georgetown’s newest watering hole. OnMarch 17, 2015, the party starts early as the restaurant opens at 7am for a traditional Irish breakfast amidst a statue of St. Patrick himself. The festivities continue throughout the day with live Irish dancers, bagpipe players and more performances by Irish musical acts.

Celebrate all things Irish with special events all month-long – European sports, including English Premier League soccer, special whiskey dinner, live music, Pub Quiz, fundraisers, wearing green, eating traditional Irish food, connecting with community through charity, and, of course, drinking Guinness and Irish whiskey. St. Patrick’s Day, March 17 – Doors open at 8 a.m. Live Music.
Shamrocks & Shenanigans – March 17, 2015, 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Rumors, 19th and M St. NW Washington DC. The festivities will include bagpipers, beads, giveaways, & DJs. To top it all off, there will be live music playing throughout the day! The ShamRogues, labelled as the best Irish band in DC, as well as the Mike Leverone Duo, will set the mood with great Irish tunes all day.
Cloverfest – March 14, 2015. Two sessions: 1:30-4:30 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. 130 N St. SE, Washington DC (lots east of Nationals Park) The event was created for young professionals, novice beer drinkers, and connoisseurs alike and includes unlimited tastings of over 75 beers, selections from DC’s favorite food trucks, and live entertainment.
Shamrock Crawl – Two events: March 14, 2015 in Washington DC and March 21, 2015 in Arlington, VA. The event celebrates a full day of green revelry and fun group shenanigans with fellow Irish loving beer drinkers. Each bar will feature Shamrock shenanigans and Shamrock drink specials.
The Dubliner – March 17, 2015, beginning at 10 a.m. 520 N. Capitol St. NW Washington, DC. (202) 737-3773. The Dubliner, one of the largest purveyors of Guinness Stout in the country, celebrates St. Patrick’s Day and its 40th anniversary with two parties. Live bands on multiple stages, tented patio, lunch and dinner served.
Logan Tavern – March 17, 2015. 1423 P St. NW Washington DC (202) 332-3710. All day happy hour at the bar, community table and patio. In addition to the cocktails, there will be half-priced draft beers, food specials such as Fish & Chips and bite-sized Sausage Rolls, and an Irish Quiz of 15 Irish history and culture questions. St. Patrick’s Day themed cocktails available March 13-17, 2014.
The St. Patty’s Day SoberRide program will be in operation beginning at 4:00 p.m. on March 17 and continue until 4:00 am the following day as a way to keep local roads safe from impaired drivers during this traditionally high-risk holiday.
