The Nutcracker in Washington D.C. is an annual beloved holiday tradition for those young and old. This year the Nutcracker in Washington D.C. takes place at the Warner Theater (513 13th St. NW) and it celebrates 10 years. The Washington Ballet is Washington institution to say the least and their annual performance of the nutcracker runs from December 4 until December 28. In addition to the Warner Theater there will also be performances of the ballet at THEARC (1901 Mississippi Ave. SE).
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the ballet’s artistic director, Septime Webre’s rendition of The Nutcracker Washington D.C. This particular Nutcracker is set in Georgetown which adds a unique and memorable local touch to this storied production. During the holiday season there are tons of fun holiday activities in DC.

Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (2700 F. Street) tickets range from $20 to $88. Also at the Kennedy Center is NPR’s A Jazz Piano Christmas on December 12.
