As wisely mentioned on the event’s website, we are all getting to the point where we can test our new years resolutions to get in shape and start working out. An absolutely fun and exciting annual race in Georgetown is a perfect opportunity to push your body to its newly earned limit. The Envision Realty Georgetown 10-Miler is coming up this March marking an excellent opportunity for guests of the Graham Georgetown to head out and run or watch the race.
The event will actually consist of two different 10-mile races— one on March 7th and the next on the 8th. This format poses three different opportunities for runners to take advantage of. Any potential participant can run on the 7th, or on the 8th, or they can run on both days in what is simply being referred to as 20 miles in two days. This unique race format makes the event appropriate for a larger range of athletes than most runs of a similar nature. Regardless of when or how much you run, the race format does guarantee everybody an ideal atmosphere.
The Georgetown 10 miler starts and finishes right by Jack’s Boathouse on the Capital Crescent Towpath. This waterside route located right on the Potomac River guarantees a peaceful and majestic visual landscape for runners and observers alike. Keeping in line with the visual appeal of the course, each runner will be able to deck themselves out with complimentary t-shirts and custom medals.
So, runners will get to look great as they cruise down the mighty Potomac with a long day or two days of running before them, commemorating all of the hard training they’ve put in. Sounds like a great day, doesn’t it? If this is something you might be interested in, be sure to sign up soon. Otherwise, be sure get out to the water and watch the Georgetown 10-miler this March.
