DC Restaurant Week

August 11, 2014 - August 17, 2014

Whether you are looking for a “see and be seen” dining experience or a quiet intimate meal, the Best Georgetown Restaurants offer something for everyone. DC Insiders have flocked to Café Milano (3251 Prospect St. NW) for years hoping to rub shoulders with everyone from A-List movie stars and singers to ambassadors to the GOP house leader. For authentic Italian don’t miss Filomena (1063 Wisconsin Ave. NW)— the Linguini Cardinale, ravioli and tortellini are all signature dishes. Fancy French cuisine? Head to La Chaumiere (2813 M St NW) for some of the best authentic French cuisine in the city. For modern new American cuisine check out newcomer Unum DC (2917 M St. NW,) Chef Phillip Blane’s attention to detail is spot on and is a welcomed new addition to the Georgetown restaurant scene. For a quiet Georgetown meal, check out A.G.B at The Graham Georgetown, a subterranean lounge which offers new American cuisine and fantastic handcrafted cocktails.
For fun family friendly fare Clyde’s (3236 M. St.) is a longstanding favorite, perfect for kids. Clyde’s is extremely accommodating for children and the whole family will enjoy the funky and fun atmosphere. We also love Thunder Burger (3056 M St NW.) — if you can dream up a burger combo, chances are they serve it here.
Looking for something sweet after your meal? Georgetown is the perfect place to hunt down a delicious sweet treat. The cupcake battle continues in D.C. as fans of Georgetown Cupcake (3301 M. St. NW) line the sidewalk for these famous cupcakes (founders sisters Katherine Berman and Sophie La Montagne were featured on the TLC hit series DC Cupcakes). Other worthy contenders for “Best Cupcake in D.C” include Sprinkles (3015 M St. NW) and Baked & Wired (1052 Thomas Jefferson St. N.W.) —we recommend trying them all!
